SUMMARY: The .NET Engineer is a key technical resource for the Excelicare development team. This person is responsible for documenting the technical specifications for AE enhancements, coding and testing enhancements, and creating associated documentation for technical and/or end-user audiences. The developer will also provide support to the sales/implementation team, and 3rd tier support for external customers.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze customer enhancement requests and provide detailed design and implementation guidelines, alternative approaches, and time/cost development estimates
  • Develop, test, and release web pages, stored procedures, style sheets, and other coding structures as detailed by AE enhancement request specifications
  • Provide assistance to the sales and client implementation teams as necessary
  • Design and support external company websites. Develop and support web-based tools for external customers such as bug reporting, knowledge bases, release packages, etc
  • Participate in team design sessions and code reviews
  • Create required reference material and technical documentation as needed. Provide technical training for customer-hosted installations
  • ensure product quality by performing extensive unit and functional testing during all phases of the development cycle
  • Maintain structured product releases by following team coding standards and release guidelines
  • Perform application consulting services as required to meet project goals and maintain customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Four years of senior engineering experience developing commercial web applications
  • Must be an expert in ASP.NET/C# (minimum of 4 years)
  • Strong multi–tier application development framework experience
  • Experience programming capabilities of .NET version 2.0 and AJAX
  • Expert skills in 2005/2008 T–SQL and stored procedures
  • High traffic web site experience with scalable design
  • Excellent Web Services, XML and XSLT experience
  • Comprehensive experience creating common components, patterns, services, and frameworks
  • Excellent problem solving skills and an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written communications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from all functional areas
  • Ability to follow structured release processes and team coding standards

PREFERRED

  • Experience with Quality Assurance and Testing procedures
  • Experience with Visual SourceSafe or other source code control systems
  • Extensive knowledge of networking, systems, and web application concepts and implementations
  • Experience utilizing the following in commercial software development:
    • SQL Server Reporting Services
    • SQL Server Analytical Services
    • SQL Server Integration Services
    • AccuRev Source Code Management
    • Windows Workflow Foundation
    • Windows Communication Foundation
    • Team Foundation Server experience
  • Experience with X12, HL7 or CCHIT–CCR/CDR standards
  • Previous training and/or application consulting experience in the following:
    • Healthcare or Medicine
    • Software Development Life Cycle or other design methodologies
    • Web or Application GUI design and development
    • Build/Test/Deploy processes
  • Experience developing commercial "shrink–wrap" software applications
  • Experience with Silverlight, Flash, Photoshop or other web design tools
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites
  • In–depth understanding of IPA and MSO medical management business model and processes
  • Experience with medical management software such as MC400, EZ–Cap, or IDX.
  • Healthcare or Medical experience or job related experience with HealthVault or Google Health
